In the subtle game of seduction the collection of butterflies is perhaps the best known and mischievous means to conquer a woman. The artist responds to an all-male custom, with a collection of metallic suits, “charming and delicate, but somewhat related to the armor of the past: they descend from those corsets and guardinfanti that shaped the breasts, busts and hips of the ancestors” (Matria, Catalogue, p.7).
Male fetishes and at the same time symbols of femininity in the Western world, the mini-suits can be worn, can be given away, can be collected.
Nel gioco sottile della seduzione la collezione di farfalle è forse il mezzo più noto e malizioso per conquistare una donna. L’artista risponde ad un’usanza tutta maschile, con una sua collezione di completi metallici, “vezzosi e delicati, ma un po’ parenti delle armature di un tempo: discendono da quei
corsetti e guardinfanti che modellavano i seni, i busti e i fianchi delle antenate” (Matria, Catalogo, pag.7).
Feticci maschili e ad un tempo simboli della femminilità, nel mondo occidentale, i mini-completi si possono indossare, si possono regalare, si possono collezionare.
